TransEco Minerals and Mining are a multinational resources company with offices in the UK and operations in Ghana, West Africa. Our operations span across the rich ashanti gold belts of Ghana. Armed with a vast experience of mining and local knowledge, we began our journey as a small scale mining operation in 2008. After many successes in the small scale arena, in 2018 we were granted the license to become a large scale miner, allowing us to grow at pace into the organization we are today.
As a diversified resource company, our focus on sustainability is paramount. Whilst balancing economic and ecological factors, we have developed a reputation for delivering regional land sustainability of a standard that is second to none, achieving various regional and national awards along the way.
Our foundation is our management team, who have been on the company’s journey a long way before its formation. Combined, the team possess upwards of four decades of experience operating and producing gold in Eastern and Western region of Ghana, one of the most prolific gold producing regions in the world. In addition to our 7.2km alluvial gold mining operation, we hold the rights to a number of concessions that will allow us to accelarate our growth further.

Godwin Nickleson Amarh
Godwin commands great respect from all the small-scale miners, and has a thorough understanding of sustainable mining and the effect it has on the local community. His experience and expertise in dealing with local farmers, chiefs, politicians, and governmental authorities is second to none. His Chairmanship of the Small Scale Mining association has given a great advantage in the mining industry, easy accessibility to mining concessions and non concession land available throughout Ghana. Up to date information on new regulations and general information as to what is going on in the small-scale mining industry directly from the Ministry of Mining.
Amjad has worked within the gold industry for the last 27 years. He has been a gold trader for many years, dealing with the HBU Bank in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to bullion dealers in Germany, Switzerland and the UAE. He has also worked in South Africa, where he set up a jewellery manufacturing plant. He was also involved with Harmony Gold Mine, Free State Development Corporation (FDC), International Development Corporation (IDC) and British Aerospace (BA Systems) in South Africa which led him to West Africa. There, he became involved with the Precious Metal Minerals Commission (PMMC) purchasing gold. Amjad was introduced to the King of Ghana, namely King of the Ashanti region on a completely different venture. This led him to set up and operate a small-scale mining operations in Ashanti region for the last 20 years.
Philip Clancy BSc Geo
Philip of GeoCore Consultancy Deutschland GmbH is our Senior Geologist – Philip is an experienced geologist. Philip resides in the UK and works through a German based company GeoCore He has spent the majority of his working life in the field and as an offshore petroleum engineer and well site geologist. His travels have taken him to most parts of the world working for a range of multi-national companies directly and as a sub-contractor. He has been involved gold mining for the last seven years, in south, west and central Africa. His qualifications include HND Geological Technology, HNC in Mining and a BSc in Geology, together with his previous field experience. He therefore has a well-rounded and balanced knowledge base. He is a true team leader in a multi-tasked position responsible for providing field engineers working in petro-physical acquisition, hard rock and alluvial mining situations with strong analytical skills and management experience.
Felix Koku Mawusi
Advisory Board Member
Felix currently works with STAAC, Ghana, a DFID/UK Aid funded project as an Investigations Adviser. He is utilising his understanding of the local environment and law enforcement culture to support the investigations Stream to influence change and improve the work of LEAs particularly Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Felix served as a senior police officer for 43 years’ working between criminal investigation, strategic management positions liaison with international police agencies such as the FBI and the United Nations to name a few. He was awarded a Meritorious Honour for Outstanding Leadership. Felix takes pride in the core values of integrity, excellence and result-oriented work and Transeco are extremely honoured to have his vast knowledge and leadership on the board.
Barima Yentumi Boaman
Advisory Board Member
Barima is the chief of environment, of the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area in the eastern region. Prior to this he was Chief of Staff to the Okyehene, King of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Kingdom. A Retired Naval Commander in the Ghanaian Navy and former Managing Director of Commodore Marines Ltd. Barima was also a former Board Chairman of JATKO Security Services and worked with the Minister of Trade and Industries. He brings an abundance of experience to the team at Transeco Minerals and Mining.
Saviour Kofi Ahedor
Saviour manages the financial accounts, reconciliation and bookkeeping of Transeco Minerals and Mining. He successfully and diligently carries out daily accounting processes tracking all expenses of the organisation and liaising with the UK office. Saviour also undertakes vetting of all requisition and equipment before payment is done. Saviour plays a vital role within the company and his attention to detail is commendable.
Bright Kwaku Dzotepe
Logistics & Purchasing Manager
Mr Bright Kwaku Dzotepe maintains records of goods ordered and received in the store. He also locates vendors of materials, equipment or supplies. Every effort is made to determine product availability, terms of sales and supply once the requisitions are raised. He also prepares and processes all requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. With Bright’s knowledge in accounts he also assists in internal audits.
Eric Kwaku Gyamera
Mr Eric Kwaku Gyamera oversees the management, operation and supervision of the miners’ site. He takes charge of the negotiations of farm lands within the concessions area to be mined. Eric carries out his significant role with the utmost professionalism and maintains a successful day to day running of site.
